They develop an application to avoid food waste

NTEY consists of an online platform through which businesses dedicated to catering or selling food products may offer items that have not sold at the end of the day

A group of engineers and designers have developed the NTEY application, a platform whose objective is to avoid food waste. The 'app' is in the development phase and will be available during the first four months of 2017.

NTEY consists of an online platform through which businesses dedicated to catering or selling food products may offer items that have not sold at the end of the day. These products have discounts of at least 50%.

The restaurants can also use NTEY offering food to go at very reduced prices. Users receive information about the offers on their mobile phone or tablet aided by the geolocation system, so that the nearest offers are displayed first. The establishments that use the application receive a stamp in the form of a sticker to place in the store's window, indicating that the establishment is committed to responsible consumption.

The goal of the app is to avoid wasting food. Instead of wasting food, they are given a second sale opportunity. Through the use of NTEY a situation is generated that benefits both buyers and sellers. Sellers sell what would otherwise be thrown away and consumers save money by buying discounted items.

Behind the app are Enrique de Miguel, Daniel Palacios, Adrian Espinosa, Paul Melero, two engineers and two designers committed to responsible consumption. The platform will be available for Android and IOS devices.
