Sony introduced a new smartphone and flagship tablet

As part of the World Mobile Congress MWC 2015 , currently taking place in Barcelona, ​​the Japanese giant Sony introduced two new products, complementing the line of tablets and smartphones of the company. These products were a 10-inch tablet Z4 Tablet, as well as a smartphone of the average price category Xperia M4 Aqua. We are glad to share with you the first photos of gadgets and their technical characteristics.


Despite the fact that everyone was waiting for Sony to announce the new flagship smartphone Xperia Z4, a miracle did not happen, and the audience was shown a plastic M4 Aqua. The novelty runs under the operating system Android 5.0 Lollipop, and inside it is hidden eight-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, operating at a frequency of up to 1.5 GHz.



IPS-matrix M4 Aqua has a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels at a density of 294 ppi. The smartphone is equipped with 2 gigabytes of RAM and 8 to 16 gigabytes of internal memory for data storage. The battery of the novelty has a capacity of 2400 mAh, and two smartphone cameras have sensors of 13 and 5 megapixels. Of course, traditionally, all this pleasure is as much as possible reliably protected from water and dust.



Despite the fact that the smartphone is made in a plastic case, the gadget looks very stylish and nice. According to eyewitnesses, it leaves an exceptionally pleasant impression of use, despite its cheap shell. The cost of the novelty will start from 299 euros, but with the release date of the smartphone Sony has not yet decided. Most likely, the device will go on sale no later than the end of April 2015.



Tablet Z4 Tablet is a device with a screen diagonal of 10.1 inches, using eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 as a processor. The screen has a resolution of 2560 by 1500 pixels (density 299 ppi), and the amount of RAM of the tablet is 3 GB. 32 GB of memory in the minimum configuration and the possibility of its expansion using micorSD cards. The battery of the tablet has a capacity of 6000 mAh, which, for example, will allow you to enjoy watching the video up to 17 hours without recharging. The mass of the tablet with dimensions of 254 x 167 x 6.1 millimeters is 395 grams.


It is immediately evident that before us is Sony's flagship tablet, which does not compromise and offers users maximum performance and quality. Apparently, this is the thinnest tablet on the market to date, so Apple will have to strain again to regain leadership in this area.



The tablet defaults to IP67 security standards, which allows it to run underwater for up to half an hour at a depth of 1 meter, and also not be afraid of dust. Also, the tablet can play a new format of hish res audio, which is currently being actively promoted by Sony. Even your favorite mp3 tracks will sound on this tablet much nicer than on any other device. There is still support for Remote Play technology, thanks to which you can play games from your Sony PlayStation 4 console directly on the tablet screen, simply by connecting it with the gamepad using Bluetooth.



As in the case of the M4 Aqua, Sony did not announce the release date of the Z4 Tablet and even tactfully kept silent about the price of the tablet. It should be expected that both gadgets will go on sale until the end of spring. The tablet has all chances to get a price tag around 699 euros, but it's too early to guess.
