Facebook next year f8 conference increased to two days
Facebook will have a lot of news to announce at the f8 Developers Conference next year , so one day is not enough. Facebook has decided to add a day to the conference. The Conference will be held next year March 25 to 26 , held in San Francisco, Fort Mason Center. The f8 Conference registration will open in early 2015, and wants developers to participate in the conference can sign up for a reminder to grab votes.
Facebook explained the length of time for this conference. The company said: "At present, Facebook's developer community is larger than ever. The company's product range is expanding, so the content that needs to be shared has exceeded one day's capacity. Adding one day means a growing developer community for Facebook. The number of technical seminars, product demonstrations, and live experiences will double."
Facebook held a developer conference at the Concourse Center in San Francisco in 2011 and 2014, and the conference was only one day.
Last year, Facebook's developer conference tight schedule . At the conference, Facebook released the Audience Network mobile advertising network, anonymous login function, App Links deep link framework, mobile version of the like button, and greatly reduced the friend data that the app can get from the user. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg also announced that the conference will be held annually, rather than every few years as before.
Like other developer conferences like Google I/O, Facebook's developer conferences usually start with a morning keynote. Subsequently, Facebook will host a series of in-depth seminars and presentations to guide developers on how to use the latest tools.
Although we don't know any specific information, we can expect that Facebook will provide developers with new features, optimize the advertising system, and expand the mobile backend as a service developer platform, Parse.
Yesterday, Mixpanel completed a total of $65 million in Series B financing to expand its mobile analytics service. This service helps developers track the various activities of users in the app and even predict what the user will do next. Parse's analytics service currently only provides basic functionality, and I suspect that Parse will also receive a major upgrade.
This is in line with Facebook's three-step strategy of “development, growth, and commercialization” announced at the f8 conference last year. Facebook offers Parse, social sign-in and sharing to help developers "develop" powerful apps. With virality and Facebook-owned and third-party ad networks, developers can achieve “growth” in the number of users. Once the app reaches a certain size, the app can be integrated with Facebook's auto-fill e-commerce feature or integrated with ads from the Audience Network for "commercialization."
Facebook is expected to strengthen all aspects of this strategy to better compete with Twitter and Google for developers and their advertising budgets.
